The Doctors

Dr. Christopher Wawrzyniak, M.S., D.C.

Doctor of Chiropractic

Dr. Chris Wawrzyniak earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from Villanova University in 1997 where he was an athletic trainer for Villanova. He worked in finance in New York City, and taught Algebra and Statistics at Blair Academy for three years where he was also an Assistant Athletic Director at Blair Academy. He followed with his Master degree in exercise science with a major in cardiac rehab in 2003, where he worked for one year at Hackettstown Community Hospital as an exercise physiologist. His clinical background began at Hackettstown community hospital with Cardiac Rehab, here he instilled lifestyle changes, including exercise and diet modifications. This made him aware that lifestyle change is what every one of his patients needed. Discovering that chiropractic care is truly a way to instill that. “Lifestyle change is truly the definition of healthcare, not sick care!”

That inspired his education in St Louis Missouri at Logan University for his Doctor of Chiropractic, from where he graduated in 2007.

Dr. Chris has continued his post graduate education studying ART Active release technique, a soft tissue technique which treats problems with muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia and nerves.

Dr. Chris is also certified in FMA – Functional movement assessment and FMS- Functional movement screen, using these techniques in his office. He is unique at looking at movement patterns, he treats the causative factor of pain rather than the pains location.

Dr. Chris has developed a belief system and philosophy based on an intimate understanding about biomechanics, the human body, its form and function, and human physiology of how people stay healthy, as opposed to the traditional belief system of primarily studying “pathology” or “sickness.” He believes that:

  • Medications are necessary on occasion to handle acute syndromes, but are not a solution for long-term health management.
  • Just as every action has a reaction, every bad health choice will manifest itself at some point in the future.
  • What was once good for you is still good for you: exercising and eating healthy.
  • Teaching preventative maintenance and wellness programs lead to healthy decisions and lifestyles and results in reducing costs associated with illness and injury.

Unique approach

Dr. Chris prides himself on helping his patients to achieve their health goals by using his unique approach to diagnosis and treatment of patients by blending Chiropractic, physical therapy, physical medicine, exercise physiology, biomechanics, and health education while also working in conjunction with traditional medical practitioners.
